Cooler-ish weather, pumpkins, festivals, and a few reasons to get out of the house.
Fall may look at little different in Florida—our palm trees aren't exactly changing colors—but October still brings plenty of ways to get into the season. Here are a few things happening around Clearwater and Tampa Bay this month.
Pumpkin Patch at the St. Pete Pier
October 9–25 | St. Petersburg
The St. Pete Pier is turning Family Park into a waterfront pumpkin patch. It's free to visit, with pumpkins available for purchase, fall displays, haystacks and plenty of photo opportunities. Weekday hours are 5–9 p.m., Saturdays 11 a.m.–9 p.m., and Sundays 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Our Lady of Lourdes Fall Festival
October 15–18 | Dunedin
The annual Dunedin festival has rides, games, live music and food, with free admission and free parking all weekend. There's even a free Jolly Trolley shuttle Friday and Saturday evenings.

Halloween Boo Bash
October 17 | Clearwater
Clearwater's East Community Library is hosting an afternoon Halloween celebration with crafts, dancing, games, trick-or-treating and a “Candy Quest.” It's geared toward families and runs from 2–3:30 p.m.
Heritage UMC Pumpkin Patch
Beginning October 10 | Clearwater
Heritage United Methodist Church on Landmark Drive is scheduled to have its annual pumpkin patch again this October. Admission to the patch is free.
Trunk or Treat
October 22 | Clearwater Beach
The Clearwater Beach Library & Recreation Center is holding their annual Trunk or Treat from 6-7:30 p.m.
